In cooperation with the Department of Cultural Development and Community Communication at the Ministry of Antiquities, the Cultural Center celebrated the International Day of Museums with a symposium entitled "Museums on the Internet" under the theme "Museums and Internet Spaces New Approaches: A New Audience".
The symposium discussed museums in Egypt since the Pharaonic era and the number of museums in Egypt and how to communicate with museums online to raise the children awareness of how to use the Internet and verify the credibility of the information to address the rumors that sometimes transmitted through the pages of social networking and. The seminar also concluded with the importance of preserving our stuff and understanding the importance of monuments. On the sidelines of today's activities, the Department of Cultural Development launched a blog entitled "Archaeological Data Bank" which the public can communicate directly to obtain accurate information from specialized archaeologists. The seminar was moderated by Dr. Rasha Kamal - Director of the Department of Cultural Development and Community Communication at the Office of the Minister of Antiquities and Ms. Najwa Abdel-Zaher, Community Exhibitions Officer, Cultural Development Department.
